Connect Your Vitalis

From unboxing to your first scheduled session — integrate your Vitalis with the Tuya Smart Home app and take full control of your recovery system.

01 — Before You Begin

What You’ll Need

Confirm these before you start. The rest of the setup takes under five minutes.

  • Your HydroForge™ Vitalis, plugged in and powered on
  • A smartphone (iOS 14+ or Android 8+)
  • Your home Wi-Fi network name and password
  • A 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network — the Vitalis does not support 5GHz
  • Child Lock disabled on the chiller unit
  • Bluetooth enabled on your phone
Not sure if your Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz? Look for a network name ending in “_2.4G.” If you only see one name, your router likely broadcasts both — try connecting. If pairing fails, see Troubleshooting →

02 — Get the App

Download Tuya Smart Home

The Vitalis connects through the Tuya Smart Home app (white icon). No separate Cool Bionic app required.

03 — Connect Your System

Pair Your Vitalis

The entire process takes under 3 minutes. Follow each step in order.

Enter Pairing Mode

On the chiller, press and hold Setting and Up Direction simultaneously for 5 seconds. The Wi-Fi symbol appears on the display.

No Wi-Fi symbol? Confirm Child Lock is disabled first (hold Power for 5 seconds).

Open the Tuya App

Launch Tuya Smart Home. Tap the “+” icon (top-right), then “Add Device.”

Find Your Vitalis

The app scans for nearby devices. Your Vitalis should appear automatically. If not, select the device category manually.

Enter Wi-Fi Credentials

Enter your 2.4GHz network name and password. The app transmits these to the chiller.

Network name and password are case-sensitive. Double-check both.

Confirm Connection

Wait 15–30 seconds. Your Vitalis appears in your device list as “Connected.”

Failed? Power-cycle the chiller (off 10 seconds, then on) and repeat from Step 1.

04 — Know Your Hardware

Manual Controls

The chiller unit is your system’s command center. Even with the app, these physical controls are your override.

Power On

Press the power button once. A 90-second diagnostic delay protects the compressor before it engages.

The display shows current water temperature during the delay. No action needed.

Select Mode

Press MODE to toggle between Cooling and Heating:

Cooling

Ice crystal icon. Primary cold immersion.

2°C – 25°C
☀️

Heating

Sun icon. Warm recovery or ambient.

25°C – 40°C

Set Temperature

Use Up/Down arrows to adjust. The display flashes during adjustment and auto-confirms after 3 seconds.

Child Lock

Hold Power for 5 seconds to lock all buttons (except Power). A lock icon appears on the display. Repeat to unlock.

05 — Your Command Center

App Dashboard

Once connected, the Tuya app gives you real-time visibility into your Vitalis — from anywhere.

See current water temperature in real time. Know exactly when your system reaches target.

Adjust target temperature from your phone. The chiller responds immediately.

Alerts when target is reached, schedules start, or the system needs attention.

Different on/off times for different days. Your Vitalis adapts to your week.

06 — Control From Anywhere

Remote Temperature

Adjust your Vitalis from your phone — at the office, upstairs, or on the way home from the gym.

Open Your Device

Tap your Vitalis in the Tuya device list to open its control panel.

Adjust Temperature

Set your target. The chiller begins adjusting immediately. Current temperature updates in real time.

Get Notified When Ready

A push notification arrives when your Vitalis reaches target. Walk to your reset station knowing it’s ready.

Room temperature → 3°C takes approximately 2.5 hours. Set your target before your session, not at the last minute.

07 — Set It and Forget It

Scheduling Your Sessions

Set different schedules for different days. The machine adapts to your week — not the other way around.

Open Schedule Settings

In the Tuya app, open your Vitalis and tap the schedule or timer icon.

Create a Schedule

Tap “Add Schedule.” Set the on/off time and select which days it repeats.

Example: ON at 4:30 AM Mon–Fri so your Vitalis is at 3°C by your 7:00 AM session.

Add Multiple Schedules

Create different routines for weekdays vs. weekends, or training days vs. rest days. Each schedule runs independently.

Recommended: Weekdays ON 4:30 AM, OFF 8:00 AM. Weekends ON 6:00 AM, OFF 10:00 AM.

Toggle Without Deleting

Active schedules appear in a list. Toggle any on/off without deleting it — useful for travel weeks or schedule changes.

08 — If Something’s Off

Troubleshooting

Four common issues, four clear fixes. Problem not listed? Our concierge team responds within 24 hours.

Child Lock Accidentally Enabled

All buttons unresponsive except Power. Lock icon visible on display.

Fix

Hold the Power button for 5 seconds until the lock icon disappears. This is our most common support request — you’re not alone.

Temperature Won’t Go Below 25°C

You’ve set a low target (e.g. 2°C) but the chiller isn’t cooling — or the temperature keeps climbing.

Fix

Check the mode. If the sun icon (☀️) is showing, the unit is in Heating mode — it physically cannot cool below 25°C in this mode. Press MODE on the chiller until you see the ice crystal icon (❄️), then set your target again. This is our second-most common support request.

Wi-Fi Disconnects After Power Outage

Vitalis powers back on but shows “Offline” in the Tuya app.

Fix

Wait 2–3 minutes for auto-reconnect. If still offline after 5 minutes, power-cycle the chiller (off 10 seconds, on). Still nothing? Re-pair following Section 03 →

Error Code on Display

Chiller shows an alphanumeric code instead of temperature.

Fix

Reference the error code table below. If unlisted, contact us with a photo of the display.

Code Meaning Action
E01 Exhaust temperature fault Power-cycle the chiller. If the code returns, contact support.
E22 Ambient temperature fault Ensure the chiller has adequate ventilation and is not in direct sunlight. Power-cycle and retry.
P02 High voltage protection Check your power supply is stable. Use a surge protector. If the code persists, contact support.
P06 Low voltage protection Ensure the outlet provides adequate voltage. Avoid extension cords or power strips with multiple devices.
P17 Standby anti-freezing protection The chiller is protecting itself in cold ambient conditions. Move the unit to a warmer location if possible, or allow it to complete its protection cycle.
